Internet Access & Wi-Fi

The Library offers free internet access to patrons on both public access computers and Wi-Fi.  Please see the General Services page for more information regarding computers and software available for public use.  Support for internet computers and Wi-Fi is available at the Information Desk on the 2nd floor.

Indoor Wi-Fi

The Library offers Wi-Fi service throughout the building during regular operating hours.  Support is available for 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) connections over both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.  To connect, simply join the network “VPPL” from your laptop, tablet, smartphone, or other Wi-Fi-enabled device.  There is no password required.

Outdoor Wi-Fi

The Library also offers public Wi-Fi Internet access in the parking lot.  This service is currently available 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily.  To connect, park your vehicle close to the building in the parking lot on the north side of the Library.  Connect to the network named “VPPL-Outdoor” using the network password “tigerking305”.

Wireless Printing

Color and black & white printing is available to patrons using wireless connections inside or outside of the library.  Please see our Wireless Printing page for instructions and app downloads. A fee of 10 cents per page is charged for black-and-white printouts made in the Library. A fee of 50 cents per page is charged for color pages.
