Low Income Home Energy Assisance Program
LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) We are accepting applications for the LIHEAP Program this fall. This program assists with gas and electric costs. LIHEAP will provide a one-time benefit to eligible households to be used for energy bills. The amount of payment is determined by income, household size, fuel type, and geographic locations. You will need to provide proof of income for all the household members, as well as your most current gas and electric bills and social security cards if you are a first-time applicant. The program will continue thru August or until funds are depleted. 1 person household income limit $2430.00/month 2 person household income limit $3287.00/month

Senior Health Insurance Program
SHIP, the Senior Health Insurance Program, is offered through the Illinois Department of Insurance and assists seniors with tricky insurance questions. Counselors are available to assist individuals with questions or problems regarding Medicare A and B, Medicare Supplement Policies, Medicaid, Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Advantage plans, eligibility for entitlement programs, appealing claims denials and grievances.
Medicare Open Enrollment is October 15, 2024 through December 7, 2024. Our Social Services staff can assist you through the Open Enrollment process. Call to schedule an appointment in September or early October. When you come in you will need to bring your Medicare card as well as a list of current medications so we can accurately predict your costs for the next year and hope to save you money. Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center
The Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center (DPELC) is an academic center at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. With the prevalence of entrepreneurship in business and law around the country, lawyers need to be prepared both to serve entrepreneurs as clients and to approach legal problems in a more entrepreneurial manner. The DPELC clinical program has served hundreds of entrepreneurs while educating future lawyers about entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial thinking through a variety of traditional, clinical, and simulation-based course offerings, a marquee annual conference, a speaker series, a transactional law competition, and workshops and outreach efforts in the entrepreneurship community.
