ATTENTION TEENS: Spine Label Poetry Contest

trwTeen Read Week begins tomorrow!

  Create an original poem by stacking the titles on the spine labels of library books. Works may be completed in the library or offsite.

Photograph your masterpiece & upload it to Instagram (#vppldreams) during Teen Read Week for judging. Winners will receive a gift card to a local restaurant.

Thinking About College of DuPage?

On Monday, October 13th, College of DuPage is hosting an informational presentation for prospective students.

Information tables will be set up from 9am to 10:15am, with a Welcome and Admissions presentation running from 10:15 am to 11am in the Belushi Performance Hall, McAninch Arts Center. From 11am to 1pm, there will be Breakout Sessions.

College of DuPage is Offering FREE GED Classes

FYI-letters-redCollege of DuPage is offering FREE courses to help prepare students to take the GED exam. The GED courses are starting August 25th. All preparation classes and textbooks are FREE!!

Information sessions will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 6 p.m. or Thursday, August 21st at 10 a.m. in the Berg Instructional Center (BIC), Room 1406.

National College Fair Coming to Chicago

ncf_logo_largeOn Saturday, September 27th, the National College Fair will be at Navy Pier in Chicago, from 11:00am to 3:00pm.  There you’ll be able to meet one-on-on with college representatives from all over the country, and get information about choosing a major, financial aid and scholarships, and more.

Be sure to register prior to visiting the National College Fair by logging onto www.gotomyncf.com. After you complete the online registration, print the barcode information. When you attend the Fair, colleges will scan your barcode to access your information, allowing more time for one-on-one conversation.
