Coronavirus and Your Library

Starting on Monday, March 16 at 5 p.m., the Library will be CLOSED. We hope to reopen on Monday, March 30, 2020, however, this situation is very fluid and our decisions will be based on the Village of Villa Park and the DuPage County Health Department recommendations.

The Library takes community health seriously. We are actively monitoring COVID-19 (coronavirus) news and taking into consideration the latest recommendations from public health experts.

Library Board Meeting

The Library Board Meeting will be rescheduled. Please watch our website for the new date.

Returning Materials

We encourage you to hold onto your library materials and bring the items back when the Library reopens. However, if you need to return the items, our drive-up book return will remain open while the library is closed.

Due dates have been adjusted for all materials, and all overdue fines will be waived during this time.

Programs and Meetings Canceled

As a preventative measure, all Library programs have been  canceled. Additionally, all meeting room and study room reservations made by outside groups are canceled. Current info will be reflected here and on our online calendar.

Online Services

Since social distancing is recommended, we’d like to remind the Villa Park community that there are many Library services that can be accessed from home using your Library card.

For other online resources, please visit our Temporarily Free Online Services page.
