The sculpture on the front lawn of the Villa Park Public Library is called “Metamorphosis” and was designed and donated by Villa Park artist, Leonard Lasko. It was installed in a concrete base in 1988 for less than $200. It is made of oxidized steel, is 12 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds. At the time of installation, the artist estimated the value of the sculpture to be $23,000.
