As an owner of a small business, identifying and recognizing talent is an important element of growing a successful operation. Here is an initiative which may be of interest.
The Campaign for Disability Employment is a collaborative effort between several disability and business organizations that seek to promote positive employment outcomes for people with disabilities by encouraging employers, and others, to recognize the value and talent that people with disabilities bring to the workplace.
The Campaign’s Web site, www.whatcanyoudocampaign.org, offers a range of educational and outreach tools. It also features practical ideas and resources to support the Campaign’s goal of promoting positive employment outcomes for people with disabilities.
The What Can YOU Do Campaign encourages you to show your support for its mission by downloading the available disability employment-related tools and resources. You will also find online videos that highlight the value and talent that people with disabilities bring to the workplace.
For more information, stop by the Adult Services Information Desk or visit our Small Business Corner to pick up a flyer. You may also reach us at 630.834.1164 ext. 104.
