On Friday evening, February 8, 2013, at 7:00 pm, the Library will host the return of popular musician Bill Robinson from St. Charles, Illinois. Robinson, who has performed at the Library several times over the last five years, plays the hammered dulcimer, a versatile folk instrument that looks similar to the keyboard inside a piano.
Robinson, who learned to play from his father and teaches others to play, has a repertoire of hundreds of tunes, ranging from traditional hymns to popular folk music to jazz. His obvious enjoyment of his own music, and his enthusiasm and skill leave his audiences asking for “just one more encore.”
This program will be held at the Library Annex, at 317 S. Villa, northeast corner of Ardmore and the Prairie Path. The program is free and open to the public, but the Library requests that those planning to attend call the Checkout Desk at 630 834-1164 and make reservations to allow for planning of seating.
