The Villa Park Public Library and the Helen M. Plum Memorial Library are pleased to present the fourth annual Community Read Event. Two Towns and a Book is an opportunity for members of both communities to read the same book and share in programs and activities.

In October 2012, you are invited to participate in book discussions at either or both libraries, and attend programs.

Michael Raleigh Author Visit
Saturday, October 6, at 2:00pm at VPPL
Author Michael Raleigh is a lifelong Chicagoan and the author of eight novels, including the Paul Whelan mysteries, The Blue Moon Circus, and a new book, The Conjuror’s Boy, coming out this year. He grew up on the north side of Chicago, spending the first 11 years in the neighborhood around old Riverview amusement park, a neighborhood that is the setting for his novel In the Castle of the Flynns. Reminisce with us about growing up in Chicagoland in the 1950s and 1960s.
