The Library’s Adult Services Department is launching its 2013 Summer Reading Program Have Book — Will Travel…Through Time and Space on Tuesday, May 28. Patrons can track their summer reading for the chance to win prizes. The purpose of the program is to celebrate and encourage the love of reading.
Patrons may earn additional chances to win prizes by reading a book from one of the theme areas: space travel fiction or time travel fiction. Additional chances may also be earned by attending a book discussion or another Adult Services program. For a listing of programs being offered, visit our web site at www.vppl.info.
Registration for the Summer Reading Program begins Tuesday May 28, and the program ends Saturday, August 3. This program is free to all Villa Park Public Library cardholders. For more information, call the Readers Advisory Department at

Naturalist, Dave Andrusyk, from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, will present the basics of geocaching and GPS technology and take you on a real-world treasure hunt. GPS units will be provided. Dress for the weather – part of this program is outdoors. This program is for families with school-age children. Registration is required. Space is limited.
