Friends’ Annual Mystery Play: B-I-N-G-O Spells Murder!

Posted October 10, 2014 | Posted in Front Page

When the Friends of the Villa Park Library break out their annual murder mystery—B-I-N-G-O Spells Murder!—on Nov. 7–9, audiences will experience more madcap mayhem than a multi-card bingo card game!

Come prepared to help the cast deduce whodunit as they try to raise the monies needed to make the last loan payment on Our Lady of Almost Lost Causes’ orphanage. Can the great Mother Superior save the church and orphanage? Are there crooks in the congregation? Will someone win the bingo game . . . or will they die trying?

Find the answers to these burning questions and more when the show, written by Robert Mattson, debuts at the Villa Park Public Library’s Annex, 317 S. Ardmore Ave., on Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.

Audience members will be encouraged to test their wits and possibly win prizes from local businesses. Tickets can be purchased now at the library for $12. Tickets at the door will cost $15 (if you dare to wait!).

The Friends of the Villa Park Library act as advocates for the library, sponsoring programs and fundraising events, promoting the library within the community and helping to improve the library facilities and services.
